Originally built in 1824, the "Hallock House" was a modest farmhouse for the Hallock family. The Hallocks started taking in boarders and by 1870 it became one of the first successful boarding houses in the area during the "Boarding House Era."
By 1913, additional cottages were built and the Hallock House boasted the capacity to hold 45 guests.
Through the 1950's and 1970's the Hallock House changed owners and names quite frequently to Nando's Manor and eventually to The Inn at Quogue.
Today The Inn at Quogue has 15 rooms available as well as a seperate 3 bedroom cottage in accomodations.
